Jon Quinday was appointed to the position of Russell City Manager on January 19, 2013. Jon previously served as the Chief of Police since 2009 and on the NW Kansas Incident Management Team for 5 years.
Prior to coming to Russell, Jon served in the United States Army for 8 years, including a tour in Saudi Arabia/Iraq during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1991 and a tour as an International Police Monitor in Port-au-Prince Haiti in 1995.
Jon is is a graduate of the University of Kansas Certified Public Manager Program, serves as a member of Unified School District No. 407 Board of Education and is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jon and his wife Alice have three children, Ashley, Jennifer and Megan.
