Police Officer

The City of Russell is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The duties of a police officer include but are not limited to the investigation and enforcement of criminal laws, traffic laws and city ordinances. Other duties include the operation of a motor vehicle under adverse conditions, report writing, community relations activities and other duties. Shift work is required. Preference will be given to applicants who possess Kansas Law Enforcement Certification and who have prior law enforcement experience. The selected applicant must live within a twenty-minute response time to the City of Russell. 

Must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years old, have no felony or domestic violence history, possess a valid Kansas Drivers License plus other requirements. 

This position is subject to drug and alcohol testing.
