OBJECTIVES

The Russell Police Department will attain our goals by the following objectives. We will:

  • Be innovative, honest and responsive. Employees should not be satisfied with the status quo, but always seek ways to improve the department's operations. 
  • Set the tone for professionalism, integrity and receptivity to change.
  • Recruit and retain the best possible employees.
  • Promote employee conduct that is sensitive and responsive to the community's needs.
  • Provide quality training for every level of the department.
  • Require aggressive crime fighting by utilizing the patrol and investigative resources in the identification, arrest and conviction of individuals committing criminal activity within the City of Russell.
  • Enhance the role of department employees in the planning and development process.
  • Stress the responsibility of all employees to be accountable to the department and community for his or her actions. 
  • Recognize exceptional work by employees.
