The Russell Police Department documents vehicle accidents that occur within the city limits of Russell, Kansas. If you are a witness to or involved in a motor vehicle accident report it to the Russell Police Department by calling 911 or (785) 483-2121.

Accidents involving property damage over $1000.00 and/or injury must be reported by the quickest means possible to the nearest law enforcement agency.

Although Kansas State Law does not require an accident report for non-injury motor vehicle accidents on private property, the Russell Police Department will complete one if one or more parties request it.

You may obtain copies of accident reports at the Police Department Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 PM

A copying fee of $0.25 will be charged for reports requested in person at the Police Department. Reports may be requested by mail. Mail requests must include a legible return address and a $3.00 fee.
