The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Russell County, including the City of Russell. Winds up to 70 mph and two-inch hail are possible, which will damage buildings, vehicles, and power lines.

Crews are enroute to a power outage affecting approximately 24 customers in the North Residential area - between 15th and 17th Street and N. St. John and N. Maple Street. We will update you as soon as the cause and ETA for restoration is known.

There are power outages on the Big Creek circuit which includes customers south of the city and customers on S. Kansas and S. Main, south of Dorrance Street. Crews are enroute. If you see damage please call 785.483.6311
