The City of Russell Police Department has been sponsoring a "Check Alert System" for over 15 years. This system is a quick way to alert local businesses of suspicious and criminal activity involving personal or business, counterfeit currency and some credit card fraud.
Our department enjoyed another busy and productive year in partnering with our community in 2011. Community involvement continued to be fostered through several programs, including the Kid Care ID Program.
We are proud to continue our residential vacation watch program. This program is intended for residents who will be away for short periods of time and don't have anyone locally to watch their home.
